Q: Where do companies return their spent batteries?
A: Used portable batteries must be returned with the municipalities that have a duty to create public gathering places in the vicinity, which may not require payment for such collection. This applies to ordinary citizens, including businesses. No tax is paid on specially designed industrial batteries only used for industrial purposes, so these are not covered by the principle of collection without payment. |
